Shannon Posada has been an attorney in the Jacksonville, Florida area since 2002 with litigation experience in government and private practice, including state and federal courts.  Shannon was born and raised in Clay County, Florida.  After graduating from the University of Florida, she worked as a Pension Benefits Analyst for a local company for several years before deciding to go to law school.  Upon graduating from law school, Shannon began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Duval County, Florida.  As a prosecutor, Shannon was in charge of handling serious felony cases including drug crimes and murder charges.  After serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Shannon went into private practice for a small firm with a diverse litigation practice of criminal and civil cases including complex litigation, family law, auto accidents, contracts, and personal injury.  During this time, she participated in over 100 trials and thousands of court hearings, wrote appellate briefs and other post-conviction motions, and excelled at negotiating favorable outcomes for her clients. She was also designated as the firm’s community/public relations liaison and participated in numerous speaking engagements and social media videos, conducted seminars and wrote articles on relevant legal issues.

Shannon has worked primarily in civil law since 2015 with a focus in the following areas:   insurance defense, trucking accidents, complex commercial litigation, contract litigation, appellate law and construction law.  Her extensive experience in pre-trial litigation and trial work has given her the necessary experience to analyze complex legal issues, to research and write effective legal documents, and to argue cases with confidence and credibility in a variety of courts.

Shannon is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court - Middle District of Florida and the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel.  She was a Chair and member of The Florida Bar Grievance Committee, from 2014-2017.

In her free time, Shannon enjoys volunteering for local political campaigns and spending time with her husband doing anything outdoors, including hiking, mountain biking, competition shooting, scuba diving and photography.
