Jerilynn O’Hara Wins Favorable Jury Verdict

On April 23, 2014, Jeri O’Hara won a favorable jury verdict for her client in St. Johns County, Florida. The plaintiff, a 22-year-old man, was involved in an auto accident with our client, a woman of similar age. He sued her for damages, claiming that the accident caused permanent disc herniations in his low back. Our client admitted fault for the accident. We defended on the issues of causation, permanency of injury, and damages. The jury did award some damages, but in an amount far below what our client offered in settlement before trial. Our client is very pleased with the result. The plaintiff, however, has a right to ask the judge to overturn the verdict.
